1.Crafring Historical Arguments from Historical Evidence
Historical Argumentation-This skill has helped me throwout the year.This skill is required to turn a question into a discussion and argue on which might be the answer and why is it the correct answer.This skill helped me in various task like in the discussion questions or the reviews.One of the assignments in which I had to prove I knew how to use this skill was the March Madness.This assignment consists of every student receiving a Historical person and discuss why would you be the most fit for ruler of the world.For this we had investigate our ruler and find how was he/she the best ruler.Every day we had to debate with one of our classmates and if you win you would go to the next round.This helped me not only in how to become better at this skill but also learning of what the leader influenced civilizations,his accomplishments and how big his impact was.For the March Madness my ruler was Emperor Hirohito, he was a japanese ruler during the WW2.Besides the March Madness staying after school and reviewing questions and debating in groups which could be the right answer and why.Most of the time we would debate with other group because we had different opinions.
Evidence-For evidence i can use my character for the debates.My ruler was Emperor Hirohito he was a japanese emperor during the WW2 most of his action were affected the people in a bad way.Most of his actions involved the Nazis but he did to prevent get attacked.

2. Chronological Reasoning
Chronological reasoning helps us understand the major events in history.Yet this skill also helps you connect the events.This skill was tested in a Change, Continuity over time essay (CCOT).To be able to write an CCOT essay you need to know the major events that shaped a period and how some of them changed over time.The best way to remember the major events is by remembering the Chinese Dynasty song.I would use this because since almost everything is connected with China.Something else that helps when writing and essay is using a timeline.This helps
Evidence-some of my evidence to demonstrate my learning of this skill would be the Chinese Dynasty song.This helps me understand the period and the actions taken during the period since most of the stuff was connected with China

3.comparison and contextualization
An other skill I learned is the comparison and contextualization this skills consist of being able to compare two things and contextualization consist of understanding how an action affects others.The ways we were practiced this skill was writing similarities and differences essays.Something that helped me write those essays was the SPICE chart.The SPICE chart consist of comparing two things,events,people,etc.We compare the Social, Political, Interaction with the environment, Cultural, and Economy things of two different societies.I remember using this to compare WW1 to WW2.The spice chart helped because i was comparing both in a specific theme for example i mostly used political,social,economics and interaction with the environment.Contextualization helps me understand how actions taken by a society affects others.
Evidence- An evidence i can use is my WW1 and WW2 comparison essay because i used this skill and the SPICE chart to understand and compare both wars.

4.Historical Interpretation and synthesis
I find this skill the most important I've learned throw the year because it helps you interpret Documents and understanding the Main ideas.When I had to write an DBQ essay I found this to be very helpful because it is much easier to understand the documents and write the essay.Most of the documents were difficult to understand because it had high vocabulary.To be better at this skill we practice with a SOAPstone chart.SOAP means Speaker, Occasion, Audience, Purpose, Subject and Tone of every documents.This make it easier because you understand more the document and what it means.This helped me more because we saw the different points of view of different people which helped understand what was happening and why.An other skill that has helped me is synthesizing main ideas. This helps me because when you read you understand the main topic of the paragraph.
Evidence-For my evidence I can use my DBQ essay of how people reacted towards Buddhism and how it affected people.Its also good like evidence because we had to compare documents.
